Valentines Cake

So I'm trying something a little different. A short term offer for a cake for Valentines Day.  From now until Valentines you can order this cake for only $40. It comes in Vanilla or Chocolate, or you can have it in Red Velvet for $10 more. All cakes will be ready for pick-up at City Blends Coffee and Tea House on Feb. 12. I needed a new display cake for City Blends Coffee and Tea House where I do all my baking. Since I do so many kid's cakes I decided to show a fun birthday cake idea. Tyrannosaurus Rex bursting out of the cake. You can almost hear his scream can't you?

Grand Piano Cake

So I have definitely been on a 3-D cake kick of late. First my U.S.S. Enterprise cake for my own birthday, then my son's batmobile cake and now this one, a grand piano cake for a birthday party. The cake was blast to make, especially the fondant character of the birthday boy.
