It's not every day you get a request for a construction tool cake for an 11 year old girl. The hammer and screwdriver are all fondant. Cakes are vanilla covered in fondant. Tape measure and orange signs all hand painted.
A few weeks ago I was approached about donating a cake for the Make A Wish Foundation. I was happy to do it. I have a lot of respect for the work Make A Wish does. The birthday girl has a dream to be a photographer so they asked me to do a camera cake. I've always wanted to do one so this project was a double benefit.
This cake was for my niece on the occasion of her 2 years clean and sober. We are all so proud of her and it was an honor to be asked to do this cake for her. The cake is of AA's Big Book. Not counting wedding cakes this is the biggest cake I have ever made.
I have wanted to do a zebra print cake for so long. I finally got a request for one. I loved her idea of the high heel shoe cake topper. Very bright and very cool. The birthday girl loved it.
