Jungle cake ... and T-Rex too!

 For a little boy's 4th Birthday. Mom said he loved animals but his favorite was the T-Rex, so that had to be incorporated too. All animals are fondant or gum paste. Cake is chocolate with vanilla filling. Palm trees are rolled wafer cookies with fondant leaves.

Canuck Cake

A cake for a friend's son's birthday. She cracked me up because she said it was supposed to be a Stanley Cup cake ....but something went horribly, horribly wrong. If you're from the Vancouver area or follow hockey at all you will know what she means. Cake is chocolate fudge with raspberry filling

My Wife's Birthday

The real bonus to having a husband that's a cake decorator is that you know your birthday cake will always be memorable. Needless to say, my wife is a coffee fanatic. This is a butter pecan cake with mocha buttercream icing. In the big Starbuck's mug the "coffee" is chocolate fondant. The small cups are butter pecan cupcakes wrapped in fondant with mocha buttercream "coffee", fondant flowers and buttercream vines. All the "whip cream" is buttercream icing.

Pirate Cake

Arrrrrrrrr, gather round ye scurvy dogs and feast your eyes on me birthday cake! (sorry I couldn't resist). What better for a little boy's 6th birthday than a pirate theme?

Police Pig Cake

This cake was ordered for a police officer's birthday. Obviously he doesn't take himself too seriously. He can't eat chocolate so the cake is a white cake with a banana pudding filling. Customer's name on cake edited out at customer's request

Pink on pink Birthday Cake

A cake for a girl's 10th birthday. Cake is chocolate fudge with raspberry filling.

Horse Cake

A cake for a little girls birthday. She is a horse lover of course and had just lost her own horse. So her mom knew she would love this. Ears are gum paste, Cake was a white cake with chocolate butter cream filling.
