Make a Wish Camera Cake

A few weeks ago I was approached about donating a cake for the Make A Wish Foundation. I was happy to do it. I have a lot of respect for the work Make A Wish does. The birthday girl has a dream to be a photographer so they asked me to do a camera cake. I've always wanted to do one so this project was a double benefit.

2 Year Sobriety Cake

This cake was for my niece on the occasion of her 2 years clean and sober. We are all so proud of her and it was an honor to be asked to do this cake for her. The cake is of AA's Big Book. Not counting wedding cakes this is the biggest cake I have ever made.

Sweet 16 Zebra Cake

I have wanted to do a zebra print cake for so long. I finally got a request for one. I loved her idea of the high heel shoe cake topper. Very bright and very cool. The birthday girl loved it.

Drum Cake

A little guy's 3rd birthday was the occasion for this drum cake. Thankfully for mom and dad's sanity it will make a lot less noise than a real drum set would and tastes better too. Cake is all french vanilla with the larger drums and base drum having a raspberry filling and the smaller drums a white chocolate filling. Everything you see is edible, even the supports for the cymbals.

Tonka truck 1st Birthday

This cake was for my grand-nephew's first birthday. Cake is Butter Pecan with a hazelnut buttercream icing and fondant details and peanut M&M's for the truck's payload.

Valentines Cake

So I'm trying something a little different. A short term offer for a cake for Valentines Day.  From now until Valentines you can order this cake for only $40. It comes in Vanilla or Chocolate, or you can have it in Red Velvet for $10 more. All cakes will be ready for pick-up at City Blends Coffee and Tea House on Feb. 12.
