Millennium Falcon Cake

My son asked for a Millennium Falcon cake for his 18th birthday. Biggest undertaking I have ever attempted. I was very stressed out doing this cake but I think it was worth it in the end.

Plum Wedding Cake

If there's one thing you have to be able to do to be a cake decorator, it's react on short notice whenever possible. This wedding cake came about after a Friday evening phone call asking if I could have a wedding cake ready for pick up in about 36 hours. In many cases I would have had to say no but as it turned out I could pull it off this time. The bride's only request was for the cake to look elegant, with sugar pearls and a small splash of plum purple to match her wedding color scheme. This is what I came up with. The cake underneath is red velvet with a cream cheese icing.

Toopy and Binoo Birthday

So here's another case of a request for a character cake where I knew nothing of the characters being asked for. I guess not having toddler age children means I'm a little out of the loop these days. Toopy and Binoo, ever heard of them? I hadn't but thanks to photos and the internet educating myself doesn't take too long.

Dairy Farmer's Wedding

Keeping with the tradition of me always getting non-traditional wedding cakes, here is a wedding where I was asked to do a cow bride and groom sitting on top of a tractor tire for the wedding cake, and fondant cow faces on cupcakes. Needless to say, the bride and groom are dairy farmers. This was such a blast to do. I was even asked by a wedding guest where I found the cow bride and groom cake toppers. I was able to proudly say I made them. My apologies about the blurry quality of some of the photos. As photographers go .... I'm a good cake decorator, lol.

A Halloween Birthday

This one was fun. For a first birthday in October so why not a Halloween theme? Bottom cake is lemon, with a lemon meringue pudding filling. The top cake is red velvet.

Mother-In_Law's Birthday

My mother-in-law had a milestone birthday, her seventieth. A milestone like that deserves a great cake. I'm really proud of this one. It was nearly perfect.
